Father's Day Silhouette

This week's Cricut Cardz Challenge was to create a Father's Day card using cartridge of our chosing.  This week I chose to use A Child's Year.

Back in March I made a St. Patrick's Card using a new technique presented on Splitcoaststampers called the folded paper frame .   The first one I made wasn't the right size for my card but I didn't want to waste it so I left it sitting by my computer monitor.  Finally this week, after much staring, I had a new vision for its use and this card was created.....

The silhouette was cut at 2" to fit perfectly inside the frame.  The frame itself was adhered using 3-D zots to give it some depth and the edges inked and slightly curled.  An eyelet was strategically placed from which to hang the dad charm which was found on clearance at Hobby Lobby.

This was a beautiful use for your wonderful folded frame. It turned out fabulous. I love the charm dangling down from the eyelet, what a lucky find from Hobby Lobby. I almost used this same cut from A Child's Year for my dt card. You always make such awesome cards, but this one, I think, is my favorite.
