Under My Spell

So here we are.  The beginning of a new week.  And today is the start of a new school year for the rest of the kids in our area.  (Several counties started last week)  This year things are different for us because all our children are now out of school and on to college or their careers.  So instead of back to school projects this year I thought I'd fast forward and start on the holiday crafting.  With that being said, I have a Halloween card I'd like to share with you.

For today's card I used the Spooky Squeaks file from Marjorie Ann Designs.  To add a bit of texture to the card I decided to ooze up the green ooze cut from the potion bottle.  After cutting that piece I painted it with some Tulip brand puffy paint and then sprinkled with a bit of Martha Stewart peridot colored glitter.  To dry the paint I used my embossing heat tool.  I waved it around the cut and as the paint would heat to dry it would also bubble up to help add that touch of dimension.

The sentiment I used is from the Cardz TV Stamps set Frankly Frightful.  I also used a couple of the black skittles from the Back to School release from DoubleClick Connections.

And now I'm off to enter this into the following challenges:

Hiding in My Craft Room - Use Die Cuts - Ends August 22nd

DL Art - August Linky Challenge - Ends August 31st
