Now on to my project!! Here is what I made..

I wanted to have some creative fun while showcasing the Science Candies and Science Matters stamp sets - both from Jaded Blossom of course.

My microscope treat tube holder is a cutting file that I purchased from SVG Cutting Files.

The card is one that I scraplifted from Luv Scrapping Together.  I first saw this cute scientist on pintrest and fell in love with him.  He's created using a couple of different files from My Scrap Chick.

Thanks so much for checking out my project! Make sure to go back to the Jaded Blossom Blog to see who is next in the line up!

Terror-ific

Today I have another cute little Halloween card to share with you.  The scene for this card was created using another set of SVGs included in the Boo file from Marjorie Ann Designs.  Just look at the expression on that ghost's face.  Isn't that just the cutest ever?  I love that little mouth looking like he's the one who's been spooked by something.

But, I digress.....

This  file does include the letters RIP for the tombstone but I wanted to be able to stamp something instead so I chose to leave those out.  Initially I was hoping for more of a cute little saying but the one I liked mentioned witches flying and since this scene didn't have witches I decided not to use it.  Instead I chose this cute, little, one word sentiment from Craftin Desert Divas.  This sentiment is from the stamp set Ghostly Greetings.

And there you have it.  Another terror-ific - ally cute Halloween card.

Beary Cute Hot Chocolate Holders

Today I'm fast forwarding on to another holiday.  This time my absolute favorite holiday - Christmas.  I imagine that in about another month or so I'll be in full swing with my Christmas cards and other projects.  Until then though I have this one project.  After it's still July and I couldn't let it go by without one little Christmas in July project.

I love giving away treats and one of the ones that I like to give are hot chocolate packs.  I'll add in a candy cane and create a tag with a poem on it then package it all up and give it away.

So to create my holders I used the following cuts from my Cricut cartridges:

  • the cup (#M4715A) from Everyday Pop Up Cards.  I scaled the cup to 5.24" in height, copied a second one on to the mat, flipped the image, lined them up and then welded the two shapes together.
  • and a circle from George.  For this one I unlocked the shape so that I could scale the shape to .17" high and 3.72" wide.  I then placed this up towards the top right of my design and attached the shape so that when it cuts that portion is cut out thus creating a slit for the packet of hot chocolate.
I also used the Marshmallow Loves Cocoa file from Marjorie Ann Designs.  That's where all my cute bears come from.  Using the print and cut feature I cut out each of the five bears that come with this file and used them to 'decorate' the front of my mugs.

The stamped sentiments that are on some of my mugs are from the Jaded Blossom stamp set Hot Cocoa.

Lime to My Margarita

Remember a couple weeks back when I spent my entire week creating and sharing all those food punnie cards?  Well I created another one - and while it wasn't entirely intentional it kinda was.

I bought this Mexican Food stamp set from Jaded Blossom when they were having their awesome customer appreciation sale.  I LOVE Mexican food and have a couple of files in my stash that I thought this set would work with perfectly.  Beyond that I didn't really pay any attention to what the sentiments were.  It wasn't until I sat down to play with it that I read them.

So when I saw this particular sentiment I immediately remembered this wonderful SVG file from Kadoodle Bug Designs.  This file is titled Aye Chihuahua and can be found here.

And there you have it, another food punnie card to add to my series.....

Say Boo

I know, I know.  It's too early for Halloween.  It's still July for crying out loud, but what can I say?  I saw this adorable Boo file at Marjorie Ann Designs and I HAD to have it so I could play.  I mean, c'mon look at those faces.  How could you say no to those?

My stamped sentiment is from the Ghostly Greetings stamp set by Craftin Desert Divas.

Finish off with a couple of Orange skittles from DoubleClick Connections and viola - the first Halloween card of the season is complete.

Co-Worker Appreciation Gift Set

Today I have fun project I'd like to share with you.  Earlier this month I entered this project into the Customer Appreciation contest at Jaded Blossom and am happy to say that it was chosen as the fan favorite.  And now that the contest is over I can share my project with all of you.

For my project I used the Good Day at the Office file from SVG Cuts.  This file set has the perfect focal point project - the typewriter treat box.  The box was easy to assemble and it wasn't until I cut out the keyboard that I had any issues.  I think I ended up cutting out three of them that were messed up before I decided to try using a brand new mat and had success.

To decorate the typewriter I chose to use some flowers since I used flower print papers.  On the knobs I used a couple of mini bottle caps from my stash.  For the sentiment I used the recently released Coworkers stamp set from Jaded Blossom.  And since I somehow managed to smear the dot of my exclamation point I added a small sprinkle to cover the booboo while adding a little bit of emphasis at the same time.

Next is the rolodex greeting card.

This is another file included in the Good Day at the Office.  For this card I used another sentiment from the Coworkers stamp set.  I also decided to use a couple of raspberry colored skittles from DoubleClick Connections.  And then to finish it off I used a fun foot shaped paperclip that was in my stash.

Then we have the business card holder.

I saw this idea in a magazine years ago and just fell in love with it.  I've made several of these and even use them to hold my business cards when I'm out doing craft shows.  So here's how you make one of these for yourself:

Cut rectangles in the following sizes:

  • 1 @ 1 1/2" x 4 1/4"
  • 2 @ 2 5/8" x 4 1/8"
  • 1 @ 1 1/8" x 4"
Glue the pieces to the cassette tape cover accordingly and then decorate.  Again, I used another sentiment from the Coworker stamp set.  The telephone is from the Cricut cartridge From My Kitchen.

Finally, what's a treat box without treats?  For my candy kisses I used the BFF Candies and Hello Candies from Jaded Blossom.

Orange Julius Recipe Page

Today I have a fruity recipe page to share.  This one features a drink recipe that I came across over 20 years ago when Orange Julius was all the rage at the Dairy Queen stores.  I used to make this to go with breakfast on the weekends when everyone was home from school/work.  To this day I will make this when I have everyone together for the Christmas holidays.  (and in between upon request one kids come home to visit)

For this page I used the Orange girl from the Summer Fruities file at Marjorie Ann Designs.  I had a second page using some of the other files but my picture didn't turn out very well.  Guess that's what I get for not checking before I give the gift to the recipient.  lol

And now I'm off to enter this into the following challenges:

DL Art - Anything Goes (July Challenge) - Ends July 31st

Wild Rice Chicken Recipe Page

Yesterday was my husband's cousin's wedding and it was a beautiful beachside ceremony.  Small and intimate with family and a few friends.  Oh and everyone on the beach and the condo balconies behind us watching on.  LOL  After the ceremony we traveled to a family member's home where the reception was being held and it was there that I was able to give my husband's cousin her gift.  Of course she didn't open it until later in the evening but she did send me a message on FB to let me know that they loved it.  This of course made me happy to hear since we had no idea where they were registered or what they needed as no one would ever say.

And so today I share another chicken recipe page that has been around in my family for over 20 years.  I stumbled on this recipe during my first pregnancy when I was trying to figure out how to prepare for meals ahead of time for those days when I just didn't feel like cooking.

The rooster that I used on this page is one of the Cutie Katoodles from Kadoodle Bug Designs.  You can find the file here.

Sizzling Chicken Recipe Page

Today's recipe page features a grilled chicken recipe.  This is another recipe that's been hanging around my family for about 15 or better years.

To create this page I used the Summer Cookout file from Marjorie Ann Designs.

The recipe card is from the Cricut cartridge From My Kitchen.

I hope you fellow bloggers are enjoying some of these recipes that I'm sharing.  :)

And now I'm off to enter this into the following challenge:

DL Art - Anything Goes (July Challenge) - Ends July 31st

Crab Dip Recipe Page

Today's page features a recipe I found in a cooking magazine about 10 years ago.  You might find this hard to believe but even though I was born and raised in the town over from the World's Luckiest Fishing Village I am not a seafood person.  Don't get me wrong.  I will eat seafood......as long as it is fresh caught......as in when my dad or husband have been out fishing and bring it back.  Now I do indulge in the occasional crawfish tails or whatever but it is rare.

I tell you all of that because crab is something I typically do not eat at all.  It has a flavor that I find too strong.  But in this recipe the horseradish (which I love) helps to balance that.

For this page I thought it would be great to use Mr. Krabs from the Cricut cartridge SpongeBob Squarepants.  Instead of cutting and piecing together all of the small pieces though I decided to flatten the image for print and cutting.

I did something a little different with my printing this time too.  Instead of printing on cardstock I decided to try printing on photo paper.  Needless to say I am thrilled with the results because the colors pop so much better.

For the recipe card once again I used the cartridge From My Kitchen.

And finally, I'm going to enter this into the Anything Goes July Linky Challenge over at DL Art.

Broccoli Corn Bread - Recipe Album Page

A week ago I crafted a series of food pun cards.  This week I'm sharing a series of pages I created for a scrapped recipe album I am giving to a family member as part of a wedding gift.  Hopefully this isn't a cheesy idea and they'll love it.

The majority of recipes are ones that have been enjoyed in my family for many years and several of them have been handed down from other family members.  Like this first one I'm sharing with you today.  This broccoli corn bread has been a staple in our household for well over 20 years and the recipe was shared with me by my children's grandmother.

And don't go asking about the calorie content because you really don't want to know.  LOL

What you do want to know though is that this cute little Italian mouse sitting in his bread basket is part of an SVG file from Marjorie Ann Designs.  The file is titled Italian Mice and you can find it here.

I also used the Cricut cartridge From My Kitchen for the word bread and the recipe card.

And now I'm off to enter this into the following challenge:

Lots of Layers - Hiding in my Craft Room - ends July 24th

Blog Candy....

....well actually Facebook.....Last week I shared with you a series of fun, food punnie cards.  This week I haven't really had time to sit down in my craft room so I thought it would be fun to play a game where you tell me which card in the series was your favorite.

To play along visit my Facebook page here and leave a comment telling which card you chose.  Then on Saturday I will choose one person (from those who left a comment) to win the 'candy' pictured below.

Just like with my blog candy giveaways you do not have to become a follower to win but it would be great if you like what you see.

Action wobbles, fabric tape, skittles & 'sequin' confetti

Thanks for playing and good luck.

More Than Ice Cream

Today ends my series of food punny cards.  I've had so much fun playing around with these and I hope that you've enjoyed seeing them.

Today's card features an all time summer food favorite - ice cream.  For this card I used this adorable Cutie KaToodles - Ice Cream Duck file from Kadoodle Bug Designs.  This new line of cuties keep screaming pick me! make me! and so I'm slowing adding these cuties to my file stash.

My sentiment of course is from the More Foodie Punnies stamp set from Cardz TV Stamps

And now I'm off to enter my card into the following challenge:

DL Art - Anything Goes (July Challenge) - Ends July 31st

Bean There ... Done That!

Happy Thursday everyone!  Are you feeling better knowing that the weekend is almost here?  I know I am.  As usual it's been a very long week for our household and with that has come not much sleep.  Needless to say we are looking forward to hopefully sleeping in and then participating in some activities of our own choosing.   And as my card pun for today says, bean there - done that.  LOL

For today's card I used one of the adorable mice from the Marjorie Ann Designs file titled Morning Coffee.  I absolutely love the expression on his/her face.

The main sentiment on my card is from the recently released More Foodie Punnies stamp set from Cardz TV Stamps.  I also used the Brew Ha Ha stamp set to stamp the word coffee on the bean bag.

And now I'm off to enter my card into the following challenge:

DL Art - Anything Goes (July Challenge) - Ends July 31st

....More Than Burger and Fries

Wait?  What?  What more than burger and fries?  Would you believe I love you more than burger and fries?  Yep, for me this one is a safe bet.....now if we were talking tacos and enchiladas......Just kidding.

Today's card is another in my week long series of food punny cards using the recently released More Foodie Punnies stamp set from Cardz TV Stamps.  This stamp set has so many great pun variations which makes it so much fun to play with.  The possibilities are endless with this set.

I also used the I'm Lovin It file from Treasure Box Designs.  This was the perfect match for the sentiment.  Only thing was the fry box in this file seemed a bit bare without a 'tag' so I used the tag from one of the shaped cards by Marjorie Ann Designs.  Several of her cards have this tag and I thought it was perfect for the fry box.  I then stamped just the word fries onto the tag and viola, the box is complete.

Now I'm off to enter my card into the following challenge:

DL Art - Anything Goes (July Challenge) - Ends July 31st

Let's Taco 'Bout It

Happy Tuesday everyone and welcome back for another food punnie card.

Today's card features another great file from Marjorie Ann Designs.  This one is called Fiesta Bears.  "Mexican" food is my all time favorite, go to food.  Forget chili or macaroni and cheese, tacos and enchiladas are my comfort food.  Always have been and always will.  So I was definitely excited when this file was released.   I love the versatility this file offers (like so many others) with its combination of cutting and clip art files.  I've been able to create cards, layouts and invitations using these cute little bears.

And of course this adorable bear standing there with his taco was perfect for using with this sentiment from the recently released More Foodie Punnies stamp set from Cardz TV Stamps.

I also used a couple of skittles to finish off my card.  These are the orange skittles and you can find them at DoubleClick Connections.

Party Pig Birthday

Today I'm taking a small break from the food punnies so that I can bring you this adorable birthday card.  This little party pig is ready to get her party on with her candle on the head and yummy cupcake.

I used the You're Such A Party Animal - Pig card from Marjorie Ann Designs.  Of course you probably already guessed that because of all the cuteness overload.  As usual this was a fun and easy card to piece together.  I added a little bit of embossing to the "frosting" so it would look a bit more "fluffy".

The stamped sentiment on my card is from the Say it Big stamp set by Craftin Desert Divas.  On the inside of my card (not pictured) I used a sentiment from the Just Pigcause stamp set.  It says "have a swine day".

And now I'm off to enter this card into the following challenge:

Craftin Desert Divas - Birthday Linky Party - Ends July 19th

DL Art - Anything Goes (July Challenge) - Ends July 31st

You're Bacon Me Happy

And so the food punnies just keep coming.  You can't blame me though.  It's all Cardz TV Stamps' fault.  Mary really outdid herself with this stamp set.  I can't remember the last time I sat down and went to town with a stamp set like this.  And I love how easy it's been to find perfect 'cuts' for each of these sentiments.

Today's card features one of the Cutie KaToodles from KaDoodle Bug Designs.  This one is titled I Love Bacon.  She's definitely cute and I too love bacon so it's the perfect punny for some  Sunday Funday humor.

And now I'm off to enter this little cutie into the following challenges:

Die Cuttin Divas - Anything Goes - Ends July 5th

DL Art - Anything Goes (July Challenge) - Ends July 31st

PDE Linky Party - Buttons - Ends July 9th

I Love You More Than....

I can't begin to tell you how much fun I am having with this new stamp set More Foodie Punnies by Cardz TV Stamps.  I've created several cards already and today I'm sharing the second one.

Once again, Marjorie Ann Designs had the perfect file to use with my sentiment.  This file is called We Go Together Like Macaroni & Cheese.   These mice are so stinking cute and absolutely perfect for anything pertaining to cheese.

So there you have it.  The second card in my Food Punny Series.  Stay tuned because there's definitely more to come.  In the meantime, I'm once again entering my card in a couple of challenges:

Die Cuttin Divas - Anything Goes - Ends July 5th

DL Art - Anything Goes (July Challenge) - Ends July 31st

...Fries for You

It's good to be back in my craft after a week or so off.  I had another mud run/race last week and then with this week being a short one there was just no time for anything other than work and training at the gym.

Today I have a punny card that I would like to share with you.  And this one is perfect for Valentine's Day, an Anniversary, or Just Because.

For my card I used one of the bears from the We Go Together....like Fries and Ketchup file by Marjorie Ann Designs.  Because this little girl bear is so cute I couldn't bring myself to use a patterned paper for the background.  Instead I opted for a clean, white, embossed card.

The stamped sentiment is from the recently released More Foodie Punnies by Cardz TV Stamps.  Be on the lookout for other cards coming using a combination of stamps from this set and files from Marjorie Ann Designs.  It's like these two were made for each other.

To finish off my card I used a couple of the Stream colored skittles from DoubleClick Connections.  This is one of my favorite colors but she has a lot of great ones available.

And now I'm off to enter my card in the following challenges:

Die Cuttin Divas - Anything Goes - Ends July 5th

Hiding in My Craft Room - Any Holiday - Ends July 4th

DL Art - Anything Goes (July Challenge) - Ends July 31st
