Believe Christmas Light

As Christmas in July comes to an end in a few days, I find myself becoming just a bit saddened.  Christmas has always been my favorite holiday, and hopefully that's seen in the various Christmas projects that I have been sharing with you this month.  But at least this month has given me an opportunity to break out of my crafting block and get back to some creativity.
So today I have another Christmas light block that I would like to share with you.  This one was made using the Believe Birch Trees file from the Silhouette Design store.  However, I wanted more stars so I cut those out twice and then randomly placed them on my block.
If you've never created one of these glass block lights before they are super easy.  You just wipe down the surface with rubbing alcohol and after it's dry you adhere your vinyl.  After that you spray the block with a frosted glass spray.  (I have used both Valspar and Rust-o-leum with great results.)
I have some people use their lights without the stands but I much prefer the stands.  For me this gives greater stability - especially for the light.  Oh speaking of the light, it feeds from the bottom of the block.  My very first light I accidently made the block so that it would feed through the top.  After putting it all together I had to redo it.  No fun there.
And now I am off to enter my block into the following challenges:
Die Cuttin Divas - Anything 3D - Ends Sunday, July 24th
Hiding in My Craft Room - Christmas in July - Ends July 30th
DL Art - July Linky Challenge - Ends Sunday, July 31st

This is absolutely gorgeous. I love the beautiful birch trees (my favorite because of their bark) and the "believe" sentiment. Thanks for the tips on how to make them. I've never tried one before.

Thank you for joining us at Die Cuttin' Divas this week!

Christmas is my Favorite Holiday too Barbara! Halloween is my 2nd Favorite! :) You've made some amazing projects and I love this beautiful Glass block too! I purchased glass blocks like a year ago and haven't done anything with them yet... YES same as the ornaments! LOL You've inspired me to get started on them... I'm gonna try and make time starting this August... it's never to early to get a head start! :)
