Winter Wonderland

Following along with our Christmas in July theme, I have a night light to share with you today.  This is another one of those hot trends from last year that I loved seeing but never participated in.  A couple weeks ago Hobby Lobby had their glassware on sale so I decided to pick up a couple of the blocks so I could play.

This light is one that I scraplifted from a very talented lady in one of my Facebook Silhouette groups.

The more I use my Silhouette, the happier I am that my husband bought it for me for Christmas despite my "I don't want one" comments.  (I had three Cricuts at that time.  Now I have one.  lol)  Having my Silhouette has opened up a whole new world of paper/vinyl crafting for me.

To make this light I cleaned the surface with rubbing alcohol.  Then I cut and applied the vinyl.  Then I used my Snow Writer paint to add snow to the branches.  Once the snow dried I took my block outside and sprayed it down with my frosted glass spray paint.  After that dried I applied a second coat, allowed it to dry and finally added some ribbon.

Needless to say, this was very fun and easy to create and I will definitely be making more.
