Alice & Mad Hatter Light

I have been on a glass kick right along with my ornaments lately.  Not sure what it is about glass but if I can find it and decorate it somehow I'm in.

So today I have a glass block to share that I made using one of the Alice in Wonderland files I found over at SVG Coop.  Now I will say that there has been a time or two where the site doesn't seem to work properly but when it does she has some fun files to play around with.

When I first looked at this design I thought I would end up shooting myself given all the weeding, but I found that if get what I can and worry about the rest after application I'm okay.  That said, after I placed the vinyl on the block I just sat on the porch and allowed the sunlight to guide me for weeding out the pieces that still needed to be removed.  (Just another reason I love this time of year.  LOL)

After everything was weeded I sprayed my block down with my Valspar frosted glass spray.  Let it cure and then added my bow.

I really love the way that this block turned out, and the blue bow was the perfect touch for this silhouette.  I admit I tried to find a Disney print bow to use but all I could find were the skinny ones.  Now that I'm done, I'm glad I couldn't find the size I needed.

And now I'm off to enter my block into the following challenge:

Another gorgeous creation, Barbara. Do you spray your frosted spray on the vinyl or do you mask it? Thanks in advance :-)
Hugs,
