Sliding Door Layout - Whatever!

This is another project that was inspired by Flip, Spin and Play - only this time there were directions that I changed up a little bit.

Once again foam core was the basis for this project and I love the possibilities that come from utilizing this medium. Other than that I used two cuts from Graphically Speaking, some paper, a dowel, glue and tape to put it all together.

School Project on Satire

This was a project my daughter had to do for her English class. They watched the movie Shrek as part of their study on Satire. Their homework assignment was to visually depict the terms: exaggeration, parody, reversal, and incongruity, but they had to use examples from the movie.

So this is what we came up with.

The two pictures are of the outside and inside of the cards. However, you will need to look back and forth between the two because the first picture show the inside of the bottom cards but the outside of the top cards and vice versa.

Guitar Hero Layout

For Christmas last year we bought the children the new Guitar Hero World Tour and they fell in love it. Several of my children are either in band, marching band or have formed their own "garage" band with friends so this was right up their alley.

This layout was created using George and Basic Shapes (thanks to a DS file that was shared by another scrapper on the Cricut Boards - don't remember her name) and Joys of the Season.

Follow Your Dreams

For this card I used my Cricut for two cuts: the diploma from Locker Talk and the arrows from Graphically Speaking. This card was actually inspired by one I saw in one of my many card magazines that I purchase. Unfortunately I can't remember which one and I have so many of them tagged that it would take me forever to find it right now....sorry.

Very easy and quick to make and an ideal card for graduation, a job promotion, a new job or other occassions I'm sure.

Father's Day T-Shirt Card

It's not often that I create a card without using my Cricut, but that's just what I did with this one. I love the versatility of being able to use the T-shirt idea when I need a quick "manly" card and it has come to my rescue on several occassions.

The inside sentiment I chose for this card is: My dad – He didn’t tell me how to live; he lived and let me watch him do it.

Get Well Card

Here's another one that I did yesterday. Again very simple - unless you consider the layering of colors in the silhouette and then having to trim around to get it all just right. While not a difficult task was a little time consuming, but worth the effort.

The balloon is from Hello Kitty. I just cut the 'tail' off of it and used embroidery floss to make it look a little more 'real'. I also pop dotted it to add a little dimension to the card.

Believe in yourself-

Designed this card the other night but finally cut it out and put it together yesterday. For this one I used the Sesame Street Friends and Mickey and Friends carts.

The flower was cut at 6.5" and the lady bug was scaled down a little smaller than 1".

The inside sentiment says Believe in yourself, I do.

Very simple card and yet it turned out beautifully.
