Hoppy Easter

Today I have a project for you that I put together using a combination of Cricut and SVG files.  I love creating 3D projects and my craft room is beginning to overflow with them as I have yet to find home for a lot of what I've been creating.  Oh well they'll just sit on display until I find a good home that will love receiving them as much as I do making them.

So for today's project I created a card and a mini Easter basket.  The basket itself is from the Cricut cartridge Tags, Bags, Boxes and More 2.  The cute little chickies and bunnies are from the SVG file title Easter Tweets by Marjorie Ann Designs.

For my card I used the same SVG file and also added some grass that I cut from two different Cricut cartridges - Sports Mania and Plantin Schoolbook.

The stamped sentiment is from the Mr. Big Ears stamp set by MayMay Made It.

Easter Eggcitement

Marjorie Ann Designs has a weekly free file that is offered to those who like her Facebook page and join the fan group.  This week the file is this cute little Easter Bunny.  After I downloaded this file I couldn't wait to play with him.

Some of the other ladies in the group have also posted their projects with him and I have to say that I LOVE the way they draw eyelashes on these guys.  I have really got to learn how to do that because it adds so much more cuteness to the character.

For my card I decided to use a flowered background as I felt that the flowers on the egg flowed over nicely in to this particular print.  I have noticed though that with all the spring and Easter type cards I've been doing lately I feel like I need to buy some new paper.  I was telling my husband yesterday that it's a shame that for all the paper I have I'm having a hard time finding the perfect paper for my cards.

The stamped sentiment on my card is from the stamp set titled Mr. Big Ears by Maymay Made It.  Unfortunately this is an older set and is no longer available for purchase.

Beary Thankful

Can you believe it's time for another Skittles challenge over at DoubleClick Connections?  My how the time flies when you're having fun.  The theme for our new challenge is Animals.  Create a project using any animal you would like.  Link it up, play along, have some fun with us and have a chance to win some free skittles and other crafty goodies.

For my project I used this adorable Autumn bear I found a while back at Kadoodle Bug Designs.  She has the most adorable bear files and this one was definitely no exception.  I cut him out at 3.69 inches tall and that gave me the perfect size to create this card using a sketch that was the canvas for a recent challenge at Peachy Keen Stamps.  I love the versatility this sketch offers and I'm keeping it in my arsenal.

The stamped sentiment is from the Beary Sentimental stamp set by Maymay Made It.  I don't think this particular set is still in production but she does have some other cute sets available.

The skittles I used on my card are from the recent summer release.  There are three different colors:  Caramel, Grinch Green, and Purple.
Yummy Skittles
Not sure what skittles are, how to use them or if you would use them?  Check out this page
here.  You can even find more inspiration by visiting my Crafting with Skittles Board over on Pintrest.

But first be sure to check out the other projects that our design team has put together for you.  Then after you taken in all the inspiration be sure to craft along and link up your animal project.  I can't wait to see what you create.

Mr. Big Ears

Easter is just around the corner, April 20th in fact.  That means it's time to get started on making those Easter cards and other projects if you've haven't done so already.  Today it just so happens that I have my first Easter card  of the season ready to share with you.

I found this adorable SVG file over at Treasure Box Designs and as of this writing they were having a 50% off sale.  This particular file is title Bunny and Jelly Beans.

The sentiment is from the Maymay Made It M'pressions stamp set titled Mr. Big Ears. Unfortunately this set does not appear to be available any longer.  But she has some other great sets to choose from.

What projects have you started on in preparation for Easter?  I'd love to hear about and see them.  In the meantime, I'm off to enter this card in to the Hiding in my Craft Room freestyle challenge.

Christmas Gift Tags

This my first official "Christmas" project of the season.....the snowman globes being my first "winter" project.  lol

For these tags I used the shipping tags like you can buy at an office supply store and marbled them using the shaving cream technique

For my cuts I used the following cartridges:

Bears from Teddy Bear Parade

Star from Create a Critter 2

"To" and "From" are from Christmas Cheer

The stamped sentiment on the bottom of the star tags is from the Cardz TV Stamps Happy Days stamp set.  The stamp on the bear tags is from the Beary Sentimental set from Maymay Made It.

I love making these gift tags.  They're so easy to do and the size is perfect for all occasions.
