It's A Girl Princess Card

Following along in my princess theme, I have a new baby congratulatory card to share with you today.  This one uses Belle as the princess inspiration.  She is part of the Beauty & the Beast file from Treasure Box Designs.

As I began to create my card I knew I wanted to do something a little different.  Since I was on this princess 'series' kick I wanted something other than the rectangular shape folded card.  So I did a bit of searching through my files and decided to use the ornate card base 3 from SVG Cutting Files.  I love how this shape adds just the right amount of dress up to go with my little princess.

And, since this is a princess card I used paper from the Disney Princess mat stack by EK Success as my background.  From there I wanted to do something a bit different as far as the card theme.  I didn't want it to be a birthday card or another friendship card.  The more I thought about it, the more I decided that Belle would make a good new baby card.  After all those precious baby girls are our princesses.

The stamped sentiment I used for this card is from the Sweet Baby stamp set from Jaded Blossom.

My Love

Happy Tuesday everyone.  Today I have an Anniversary card that I'd like to share with you.  My anniversary isn't until March but I thought why not create a card now rather than waiting until the last minute.

For this one I used a smurf file that was part of an SVG Cutting Files Sweets blog hop almost two years ago.  The files were only available to those who hopped and only during the specified hop time.

After cutting my smurf I tried to decide what I wanted to use for my card background and in the end opted for a pre-printed card blank.

The stamped sentiments on the outside of my card are from the Jaded Blossom stamp set titled Happy Hello.  Since the stamps are pliable enough I was able to round the "my love" sentiment to fit the curve on my smurf's hat.

On the inside of my card I also used the Happy Hello sentiments but also added a single splatter from the Heart Splatters stamp set.

To complete my card I decided to embellish with a couple of red colored skittles from DoubleClick Connections.  I always have fun adding these to my cards.

Thanks for stopping by and visiting today.  I hope that you enjoyed my card.

You're My Superhero

Hey everyone.  It's Barbara from My Little Spot of Sanity.  You might remember seeing me last week during the awesome stamp release week at Jaded Blossom.  Even after all that I'm honored to be posting another fun project at Jaded Blossom today!

I belong to a wonderful group called I Run 4 where those of us who can run and participate in physical activities run and participate for those children who cannot.  Last year I was paired up with my sweet buddy Conner.  After a year of running for this precious boy I am finally getting the chance to meet him and his wonderful family.  And what's a meeting without a gift?

Conner loves Superman and so I decided to create a special ornament for him along with a little treat of chocolate.

I used the following Jaded Blossom goodies for this project:

Rectangle tubes for the chocolate

Super Hero (revamp) stamp set for the flag sentiment

Super Hero 2 for the sentiments on the candy

I also used the base holder from the Alien Tube Holder from SVG Cutting Files and the Superhero Kid from the Silhouette Design Store.

Thanks for stopping by and I hope that you enjoyed the project that I've shared today.  Now I can't wait to give it to Conner and see how he likes it.

Jaded Blossom Release - Day 5

WooHoo it's Friday!  It's also the last day of this fabulous week long Jaded Blossom release.  And you know what that means......

That means later on today there'll be a blog hop and everyone can begin purchasing their stamps!!  Well that is if you didn't take advantage of the Gotta Have it now earlier this week.

Our last stamp set for this release is Meal Plan and this is the project that I created using this fun stamp set.

Since this stamp set is about meal planning and I'm not much of a 'planner' person I thought it would be fun to create a gift card/favor project.  For this one I used the Christmas Kisses Gift Card Holder from the Silhouette store.  Since I used a LuLu's card for the project I decided to go with a tropical design on the holder.  For this I used part of the Paradise Found title from SVG Cutting Files.  (The beach sand is actually sand paper.)

And there is also a 3x4 Freebie with this release - Good Fortune.

Here's a peek at today's stamp sets.

Jaded Blossom Release - Day 4

Can you believe this week is almost over?  Can you believe we are on Day 4 of this fabulous Jaded Blossom release?  If you didn't purchase the Gotta Have It now package that means you have to wait a couple more days before you can purchase your stamps and join in on the fun.

Today we are spotlighting the Happy Hello Add On.  For my project I used the following Jaded Blossom products:

I also used my Martha Stewart Drippy Goo punch and the cute Frankenweenie file that is from a past SVG Cutting Files blog hop.

Here's a peek at the Happy Hello Add On set

I can see a lot of fun use coming from this stamp set.

Anything Goes Blog Hop

Happy Saturday everyone and welcome to the Cardz TV 3D Designers Anything Goes Blog Hop.  Today our 3D designers will be showcasing a variety of projects because anything goes.

For my project today I chose to make a small candy purse.  Perfect for giving a special friend or co-worker a littler pick me up.  The file for the purse treat bag is from SVG Cutting Files.

The stamped sentiment on my purse is from the Cardz TV Stamps set titled Simple Thoughts.

And now that you've seen my project be sure to hop your way on through to see all of the other wonderful designers our team has created.  Oh, and if you started at my blog be sure to go start from the beginning.  I'd sure hate for you to miss all that crafty goodness.

Here's the line up.....

One and Only Butt-erfly

I've said it before and I'll say it again.  I LOVE the Poopez files from SVG Cutting Files.  Today I'm playing with the Butterfly.

One of the many things that I love about this time of year are all the beautiful butterflies that I see.  So many colors mixed and blended together and no matter how they are mixed each one is beautifully done.  And in keeping that in mind I decided to use a patterned paper for my butterfly.  At the tip of the antenna I used a couple of Purple Twilight colored skittles.

Oh and that shaped card base?  That's also from SVG Cutting Files.  It's called the Ornate Card Base 3.

My stamped sentiment is from the Cardz TV Stamps set titled Just Sayin'.

And now I'm off to enter my card into the following challenge:

Summer Challenge - SVG Cutting Files - Ends June 15th

Birthday Latte

Today I have another birthday card to share with you.  One of my daughter's is having a birthday next week.  It's going to be a bit more difficult to celebrate her birthday this year since she's over in Africa with several other colleagues from the CDC.  They are all there working on the Ebola response.  Some are there for a brief time, but my daughter is there for a year, coming home for a short time once a quarter.  But she will be there on her birthday so we are sending a care package with some of her favorite things - including coffee.

So for her birthday card I decided to use this cute cat with his coffee cup that I obtained during the SVG Cutting Files Let's Stick Together Blog Hop from back in 2014.  Those files were only available during the time of the hop.

The stamped sentiment is from the recently released stamp set Coffee Break from Jaded Blossom.

I also used latte colored skittles from Doubleclick Connections.

The Runs .... Mud Run Layout

This past Saturday was my first OCR (Obstacle Course Race) of the season and it was so exhilarating to get back out there doing what I love to do.  This year will be an even better race season because I have been paired with my I Run 4 buddy, Conner, giving me even more motivation to get out there and get it done.

Since this was a recent race I have not yet gone through all the pics to print for putting together any scrapbook pages.  BUT, I do have a page from a race I did with my son that I'd like to share with you.  This is from an event we did in Mississippi and it was rather cold when we ran this venue.  It was my son's first time running in a Spartan Race and I was excited to share the experience with him.

For this page I used one of the always hilarious Poopeez files.  This one is called........wait for it.....The Runs......

When I first saw this file I busted out laughing so hard.  Of course when I looked at the file I immediately knew I could pull it off as a pile of mud out there running and so that's just what I did for this layout.

And now I'm off to enter my layout into the following challenge:

SVG Cutting Files - Crafter's Choice - Ends March 14th

A Hoppy Hello

Today I have an Easter card to share with you.  Only it doesn't really have to be an Easter card.  It could be a friendly stopping by to say hi card.  (insert smiley face)

I created this card using the Sweet Baby Bunny and the Ornate Card Base 3 files from SVG Cutting Files.

My background paper is from Creative Memories.  It's a customer gift set that I won in a blog challenge a while back.  This set is the Serene photo mats.  As you can see though I'm using it for something other than photos.

The stamped sentiment is from the recently released Funny Bunny stamp set from Jaded Blossom.

Thanks for stopping by, and now I'm off to enter my card into the following challenge:

SVG Cutting Files - Crafter's Choice - Ends March 14th

Intergalactic Birthday Wishes

Happy Friday everyone and welcome the another Cardz TV 3D challenge.  For the next couple of weeks we are challenging you to create a 3D birthday card.  So get your thinking caps on, but first let me share with you my take on the challenge.

For my card I used this cute little Alien Poo from the Poopeez line at SVG Cutting Files.  I absolutely love the characters in this line and have a lot of fun with them.

Now the 3D portion of my card is on the inside, and for this I used the A2 Pop Out Card from Lori Whitlock.  This is a file that you can purchase from the Silhouette Design Store.

My printed papers are all coordinating papers from the Cosmic Whammy mat stack by the Paper Studio.

The stamped sentiments are from two different Cardz TV Stamps sets.  On the outside I used Up and Away on the outside of my card.  On the inside I used Good Times.

And now that you've seen my take on this week's challenge be sure to check out all the other wonderful designs our team has created for you this week.  Then after you've been amply inspired, create your 3D card, link up and play along with us.  I look forward to seeing what you create.

Until then, I'm going to play along in a couple of other challenges myself:

SVG Cutting Files - Crafter's Choice - Ends March 14th

Die Cuttin Divas - Kid's Theme - Ends February 21st

DoubleClick Connections - Happy Birthday - Ends March 1st

Valentine Treat Holders

As we begin to close in on Valentine's Day I thought I'd share some treat holders I put together.  These are a sampling of what I'm giving to those who are participating in our secret pal swap at work.  Everyone knows that I love to craft.  And that means I can't make things for my secret pal.  So instead I make a little something for everyone around different holidays.

For this project I started with the Pocket Square Candy Holder from SVG Cutting Files.  Then I used the print and cut feature, and characters from the following Marjorie Ann Designs files I decorate my holders:

I then used sentiments from the recently released stamp sets from Jaded Blossom titled:

And now I'm off to enter these treat holders in the following challenges:

SVG Cutting Files - Valentine Themed - Ends February 14th

DL Art - Valentines - Ends February 10th

Puppy Love

This has been an exhausting week as I have been sick for the past five days.  Today I feel more human even though I'm still fighting through the ick.

So today's card is all about the quick and easy.  Last week SVG Cutting Files had their Valentine blog hop and this cute little puppy card or "Dog Letter Standing Card Shape" was one of the files.  Good news is that unlike past hops where files were only available during the hop, you can now purchase files afterward.  And if you're a cat lover she has one of those available too.

The stamped sentiment on the envelope is from the recently released Love Ya stamp set from Cardz TV Stamps.

And now I'm off to enter my card into the following challenge:

DL Art - Valentines - Ends February 10th

Old Farts Love

Happy Thursday everyone.  I am really excited to share the card I have created for today.  It's a simple card but I just love the overall look and feel of the card.

To create my card I started with the Old Farts Poopeez file from SVG Cutting Files.  If you've been following me for any period of time you know that I love to play with and have fun with the Poopeez files.  Having four boys under my roof gave me a whole new appreciation for this off color (if you will) sense of humor.

I decided to take this old farts couple and use a bingo card style background file behind them.  Doing this enabled me to showcase the 'candy' stamps included in the Sending Love stamp set from Craftin Desert Divas.  I played with these two sentiments, using them as if they were a bingo dauber on my card.  On the inside of the card I used another sentiment from this set that says," I'll love you until the day after forever."

I then finished off the card with a couple of skittles in the color Stream.

I hope that you enjoy today's creation.

Lookin' Good Owl

I haven't had a lot of time for crafting the past few days.  It's a busy time for me with Annual, Board and Budget meetings.  And unfortunately it'll be that way until the end of the month.  So I'll just have to squeeze that crafting in as I have time.

Today though I do have a card to share.  This one was made using the mustache owl from SVG Cutting Files.  I had this scrap of mustache print paper in my stash and knew it would be perfect as a backdrop for my owl.

Add in a red skittle for the center of my bow and a stamped sentiment from the Cardz TV Stamps set titled You're the Man, and viola, my card is complete.

On the inside of my card I used a stamped sentiment from the Jaded Blossom stamp set titled The World (this was a freebie during one of the stamp releases this year).  The mustaches are also from the Cardz TV Stamps set You're the Man.

Cha Cha Cha

Today I have a fun Poopeez card to share with you.  This guy is called cha cha cha.  Just look at his smile that screams fun and his maracas inviting you in for a fun dance.  Now how could you not love this guy?

My stamped sentiment is from Jaded Blossom's stamp set titled Mexican Food.  Come on now, how perfect is that?  LOL

And now I'm off to enter my card into the following challenges:

Jo's Scrap Shack - Anything Goes - Ends October 9th

DL Art - October Linky Challenge - Ends October 31st

Doodles

Thank goodness it's Saturday because that means I get to have a little bit of crafting catch up time.  Of course the very first card I made this morning had to use some of the new Poopeez files that were released from SVG Cutting Files yesterday.  I have been waiting for some new ones for quite a while and I have to say this release really got me excited.

Today's card was made using the Doodles and the GhostPoo files.  When I first saw the Doodles on SVG Cutting File's blog I cracked up.  Of course he was painting a pile of crap but I decided to change that out for the GhostPoo so that I could turn my card into more of a Fall/Halloween theme.

My background was created using paper from my DCWV Midnight Spell mat stack.

I also decided to try something a bit different and used the ghost panel stamp from the recently released Jaded Blossom stamp set Halloween Panels.  Only instead of stamping in color I chose to stamp with my Distressed Embossing Ink and then used a transparent power.  This gives my ghosts that touch of now you see me - now you don't peek-a-boo feel.  I don't know, I just thought it would be kinda cool to have them hiding in the trees.

Close up of the ghosts

And now I'm off to enter my card into the following challenges:
