Hurray for the weekends and being able to just sit in my craft room and play away. I've been able to get several cards and projects completed already. But before I take a brief break to get some housework done I wanted to share my first ever ANTI- Valentine with you.
Jaded Blossom recently had their January stamp release party and when I saw the Cupid is Stupid stamp set I couldn't resist. I wasn't sure what I'd actually do with it. All I knew was that I had to have it and so I made the purchase.
After several days of trying to decide what to do while reading and re-reading the sentiments I finally got the idea to create a card that looked like someone was targeting in to shoot cupid. Then I remembered this angry cupid file over at SVG Cutting Files and thought he was perfect. After all what cupid would be happy to see that someone has a target on him?
Where did the target come from? That's from the Cricut cartridge Outdoor Man.
Oh and here's what I decided to do for the inside of my card. After stamping the sentiment and heart on the inside I realized that I smeared a small spot of the ink so I went back and stamped the pins individually, cut them out and layered them back on. I then took a bit of red Smooch and painted the heads of the pins.
And there you have it. My first - but certainly not the last - of my Anti-Valentine's Day Cards.
Now I'm off to go enter this card into the Anything for Your Valentine challenge at SVG Cutting Files. Challenge ends February 14th.
