Easter Friends

Today I have my last Easter project of the year to share with you.  The card is new but the basket I made a couple weeks back and decided to use as a "prop" with my card.  They both were made using the same Easter Tweets file from Marjorie Ann Designs so of course I had to.

As you can tell the basket is paper pieced while the chick on my card is print 'n cut.  That's one of the things I love about the files from Marjorie Ann Designs.  Every one comes with clip art in addition to the piece files.

For the card though I also used one of the ornate card bases from SVG Cutting Files.  I think that this base file adds elegance to the overall look of the card.

For the basket itself I used the Cricut cartridge Tags, Bags, Boxes and More 2.

The stamped sentiment on my card is from the Best Friends stamp set by Jaded Blossom.

And now I'm off to enter this in to the following challenges:

Any Holiday - Hiding in My Craft Room - ends April 4th

Easter - Jaded Blossom - ends April 4th

Hoppy Easter

Today I have a project for you that I put together using a combination of Cricut and SVG files.  I love creating 3D projects and my craft room is beginning to overflow with them as I have yet to find home for a lot of what I've been creating.  Oh well they'll just sit on display until I find a good home that will love receiving them as much as I do making them.

So for today's project I created a card and a mini Easter basket.  The basket itself is from the Cricut cartridge Tags, Bags, Boxes and More 2.  The cute little chickies and bunnies are from the SVG file title Easter Tweets by Marjorie Ann Designs.

For my card I used the same SVG file and also added some grass that I cut from two different Cricut cartridges - Sports Mania and Plantin Schoolbook.

The stamped sentiment is from the Mr. Big Ears stamp set by MayMay Made It.

Hello Cutie Treat Box

Happy weekend everyone.  Today I'd like to share a cute little Valentine's Day treat box I put together.  Not sure why but I have been on treat box kick lately and I'm having a lot of fun with them.

For this treat box I used the heart keyhole treat box from Cricut's Tags, Bags, Boxes and More 2.  I found this great double sided paper that was perfect for a box in my stash and was excited to put it to use.  I then cut my owls from a file I found over at Too Cute by Jessica called Valentine Sweeties.  Owls are another thing that I've had a lot of fun making over the past few month and these big eyed cuties were no exception.

The stamped sentiment I used for this box is from the Jaded Blossom stamp set titled Hello Hello.

Now stay tuned as we are just getting warmed up on our Valentine's Day crafts.

Love Letters

Today I'd like to share with you the project that I made for my husband's Valentine's Day gift.  I found these wonderful little 3 in x 4 in paper bags at Michael's and just knew I had to have them.  Especially since they were on sale 50% off.  I loved the idea that they had the space for journaling on the bag and thought they were the perfect size for making tags and hoped they wouldn't be too big to fit in one of the mailbox tins I had.  After discovering that they weren't too big off to work I went.

I used a variety of cartridges on this project including:

Going Places for the globe
Create a Critter 2 for the owl, phrases and bee
Handyman for the hammer and nails
Paper Dolls for the moon and stars, and the weights
Graphically Speaking for the smiley face
Suburbia for the fan
Indie Art for the dice
Wild Cards 2 for the boat
Mini Monsters for the monster
TBBM2 for the tags

This is a picture of the front of the tags

And this is the back of the tags.  As you can see I printed different sentiments to coincide with the graphic on the front of the tag.

Once they were all put together I matched them up with the paper bag that also had the sentiment written on it.

Then in to the mailbox all but 4 went.  Throughout this week I've left one tag in different hiding spots (truck, lunch bag, bowling shoes, shaker cup) for my husband to find at some point during his day.

For my mailbox - I cut a strip of 4 x 12 paper, wrapped it around the box (cutting out a spot for the flag).  I then traced and cut out the pieces for the front and back.  The stamped sentiment is from Cardz TV Stamps snail mail.

Tomorrow I will place the mailbox - along with a Mine Craft Creeper plush (he's a huge Mine Craft fan) I picked up - in the front seat of his truck.......

Secret Pal Delights

Happy, happy weekend everyone.  I hope that your weekend is turning out to be as productive as mine has so far.  Of course mine's been productive out of necessity.  Since my week days are so busy with work, the gym, and taking care of the family I have no time for crafting these days, and so I have to fit it in on the weekends when I can.

This weekend I finished up some gifts I've been trying to make for all the ladies at work that are participating in our Secret Pal gift exchange.  Everyone knows that I'm crafty so I have to find a way to sneak it in so that my true secret pal doesn't know who I am.  How's that for crafty?  LOL

So I found just enough of these tube gems in my stash and decided to transform them in to my Valentine's Day gift for each of my "sisters".  I covered the bottom third of the tube with a valentine print paper.

Then I used Tags, Bags, Boxes and More 2 for the heart tag.  And the little bow cut out was the perfect fit for the lid so I adhered the cut to each lid.  Waste not, want not after all.....

The stamped sentiment is a combination of stamps from the Cardz TV stamp set "Snail Mail" and Fresh Squeezed Stamps set The Envelope Please.

And now I'm going to play along with the new 3D Valentine Challenge going on over at Cardz TV.  This new DT has really rocked out this week's challenge and I can't wait to play along with them.
