This song started running around in my head this morning so of course I had to create a card based on the chorus.
For this one I used:
Child's Year for the the hands. Cut twice at 3", inked and pop-dotted.
Going Places for the globe. I cut one base at 3" in a solid blue. Then I cut three globes at 3". One in a water print and two in green, inked and pop-dotted the land formations.
Very easy card but I love the end result.

I know, I know. It's another Create a Critter creation. As hard as I try I just can't stay away from this cartridge right now. Besides, this one was created based on one I saw in a past issue of Just Cards.
My mom's birthday is today and I had to have a special card for her. And since she's always so crazy and fun I thought using monkeys (who have the same characteristics) would be perfect.
The vine was created using both vine features on CAC with the upper portion being adjusted for a greater "swag" and then a second one welded to it in order to bring the vine across the card. The monkey's hands are glued directly to the vine but then the bodies are pop-dotted to lift them up for a more "swinging from the vine" feel/look.
On the inside of the card I used Accent Essentials for the sentiment piece. I was little upset when I drew in the banana's face because as soon as I started drawing the mouth my pen decided to bleed.
All in all I know mom will love it.

I woke up early this morning thanks to our youngest son waking early and in turn the dogs. So while I waited for the rest of the family stir I decided to begin designing cards. By lunch time I had three cut out, waiting for me to start and finish housework so I could come back and play some more.
This is one of my three creations. The octopus is cut at 3" from Create a Critter and the treasure chest is cut at 2 1/2" from Life's a Beach. I traced what should have been the metal trim with a puffy paint and then applied glitter for the bling. My jewels are a mixture of rhinestones and a metallic type jewel. I wish I had some more of my faux pearls but I couldn't find them anywhere.
Finally, my background paper is from DCWV stack All About Boys. I absolutely LOVE this paper stack - it is some of the best that I have seen in a long time.
Fish Outta Water

This week's Cricut Cardz Challenge was to create a card using either brads or eyelets along with any cartridge of our choosing. I chose to use brads, Create A Critter and George.
Using Create A Critter I cut the fishbowl at 3" and using George I created a window in a second fishbowl. I then cut the window out twice in chipboard and once for the top of the layer. This then allowed for the dimension I needed to place my fish brads "inside" the bowl.
As you can see one of my fish decided to escape and jump out of the bowl. Perfect for my inside sentiment which reads:
I'm like a fish out of water without you.

"Trust in the Lord with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. In all they way acknowledge him, and He shall direct thy paths." Proverbs 3:5-6
After church yesterday this passage just popped into my head and I decided to create a simple card based on the Scripture. So this afternoon I cut a compass from Camp Out and then as I was looking for the background paper I found some I forgot I had. Making it even more interesting as I was getting ready to cut the piece I needed I noticed that the very same Scripture I was using as my sentiment was on the paper I chose.

Today's card is a very simple one using the butterfly from Home Decor and the word "dream" from Graphically Speaking. I made this cut months ago with another card in mind and then when I tried to commit it to the card I never liked the way it looked so I scrapped everything but the butterfly.
After months of trying to figure out what to do with my poor butterfly I found the perfect paper and sentiment. So without further delay I give you dreams....

I realize it's a little early for Halloween cards, but I had this extra bus cut from the graduation cards I made for my niece. It's been sitting on my desk for a couple weeks staring me in the face. Taunting me. Waiting for me to decide how I would incorporate it into a card.
Not only did I use SYI for the pumpkin ghouls but also for my spider. The bus is from Doodlecharms and my font was created using Robotz.
