 4x6 stamps
Made in the USA

Love at Christmas

Happy Friday everyone!  I don't know about you but I'm excited for the weekend to hurry and get here.  But first it's time for another Cardz TV challenge.  This week it's a Color my Christmas challenge.  That means we are creating a Christmas card using the colors Red, Green, White and Pink only.

For my card I used this great file from Too Cute by Jessica titled Simply Christmas.  This particular cut from the file was perfect for this  challenge.  All the cuts I used beside the tree branch were already the right colors.  So instead of leaving the branch brown I was covered it in "snow" and made it white.

Then as I was looking through my papers I found this great sheet of pink with the finest dots of white "snow".  Talk about things coming together.

My stamped sentiment - also perfect - is from the Cardz TV Stamps set titled Very Merry.

Now that you've seen my card for this week's challenge be sure to check out the other wonderful cards our team has designed for you this week.  I promise you won't want to miss them.  Then after you've been amply inspired, create your own color my Christmas card and link up to play along with us.

Super Thanks

If you are looking for the PDE Linky Party Post it's directly below this one.

Welcome to week two or our show your gratitude with thanks challenge over at DoubleClick Connections.  Last week the first half of our design team shared some wonderful thank you projects to get you going.  This week the second half of our team is back with even more inspiration for those of you who have yet to get your projects completed.

For my card I chose to use this adorable chibi Spiderman to create a superhero themed thank you card.  I found this adorable guy over at the Krafty Nook.  It was the perfect cut to compliment this DC comics paper I have in my stash.

My sentiment is from the Jaded Blossom stamp set titled - what else - Super Hero.

The skittles I used are from two different skittles releases - Black Friday and Back to School.  The colors are Rudolph red and black.  I really love Carri's skittles because the colors are so vibrant.  I ordered several colors last week and when they arrived I opened the package and just sat there in awe staring at all the beautiful colors.

Now that you've seen my card be sure to check out the other great projects our team has put together.  Then create your own thank you project, link up and play along with us.  Then hop on over to the skittles store to pick yourself up some of these yummy colors before they're all gone.

Now I'm off to enter my card in the following challenge:

Celebrate Kindness - Moving Along With the Times - Ends November 19th

Oh Snap Donald

Before we get started, PDE Linky Party is looking for a couple of Guest Designers!

Would you be interested?

If so just put GD after your name on your
linky party submission when you link up to play along this week.

ANY type of crafting is welcome! Stamping or Die Cutting, etc.  PDE Linky Party is looking for a Guest Designer for the following dates to finish out this year:

Dec 16 - North Pole theme
Dec 23 - Anything Goes
Dec 30 - Celebrate (birthday or new baby or congrats for anything)

Make sure these dates will suit your calendar, because Janis will randomly assign the Guest Designers to one of these dates. You will not be able to pick the date you want.

And now on to this week's PDE Linky Party challenge.  This week we are challenging you to create a project featuring Pilgrims, Indians or Turkeys.  As you can see I've decided to use a turkey for my project.

This great gem of an SVG came from a recent Disney Holidays blog hop sponsored by SVG Cutting Files.  I saw this great file of the turkey hiding in plain sight from Donald and I just busted out laughing.  I mean come on, it doesn't get much better than that.

And since I still do not have any Thanksgiving themed stamps I had to find something that would work with this great cut.  I had a couple picked up and asked my wonderful husband what he thought (as I often do) and this is the one we settled on.  It's from the Craftin Desert Divas stamp set titled Capture the Good Times.

And now that you've seen my project for the PDE Linky Party be sure to check out the other great designs our team has come up with for you.  Then create your own link up and play along with us.

I can't wait to see what you create.

Until then I am entering my card in the following challenge:

Give Thanks - SVG Cutting Files - Ends December 14th

Thanksgiving - Die Cuttin Divas - Ends November 24th

Turkey Time - My Sheri Crafts - Ends November 21st

Think Fall - Hiding in My Craft Room - Ends November 22nd

Purple Monster Beanie

It's a cold one here in the Panhandle of FL today.  Undoubtedly not near as cold as other parts of the country but when you're used to 70 degree temps and you wake up to the 30's it's cold.  So today I have a loom knitted project that I'd like to share with you.

I decided to create a fun purple monster hat for this craft show season and these things went over very well.  They took a while to make up but in the end the time and effort was definitely worth the end result.

To create these hats I  knitted the brim using the garter stitch (K, P x 3) then I ewrap knit for 4, change to black and ewrap knit for 6, change back to purple and ewrap knit for 8 and the did the flat panel bind off (3 rows of k2,p2). For the hair I just cut strands of yarn and tied in knots around the hat starting around the 2nd to 3rd row above the eye. The eye I crocheted using black and chained five, slipped together then crocheted in the center 10x being sure to catch the tail in the SC stitches. Then I changed to white and crocheted two rows of HDC, changed to gray and crocheted one row of SC.

The yarn I used was Lion Brand Hometown USA brand yarn in Portland Wine (dark purple) & Minneapolis Purple (lite purple) and then of course black. It took about 1 skein for the hat and then one for the 'hair'.

Merry Christmas to You

If you are looking for my Let's Talk Turkey project you'll find it right below this one.

Welcome to a new challenge over at PDE Linky Party.  This week our challenge is banners.  Either a create a banner or use a banner on your project.  Bet you can tell which option I chose.  LOL

I fell in love with this reindeer card as soon as I saw it being released over at SVG Cuts.  The reindeer just sucked me in and then I thought ooooooh, banners!!  And so my card was born.

I used a page from my Warm Wishes mat stack by Recollections that I picked up a couple years ago.  I thought that the brown type paper was the perfect back drop for this card.  I then chose some various scraps from my bin to use for the banners.

After piecing everything together I decided to use some skittles to accent the banners and one for the reindeer's nose.  The blue ones are some I picked up at Michaels but the Rudolph red one is from the Black Friday 2013 release over at DoubleClick Connections.  Finishing off the card is my stamped sentiment, which is from the Naughty or Nice stamp set recently released by My Craft Spot.

And now that you have seen my take on this week's challenge I would love for you to check out the other wonderful designs our team has created for you this week.  Then, after you've been amply inspired I hope that you will create your own banner project, link up and share it with us.

I am entering my card in the following challenges:

Anything Goes - DL Art - Ends November 30th

Christmas - Crafty Hazelnut - Ends November 30th

Sparkle or Shine - Moving Along with the Times - Ends November 12th  (the reindeer reins and the white with glittery silver banner are my sparkle/shine)

Let's Talk Turkey

Before I begin today's post I'd like to take this opportunity to thank all of our Veteran's - currently serving and retired - for their service and sacrifice.  Coming from a military I know what you and your families go through and YOU GUYS ROCK!

Now let's talk turkey.  Today I am a guest designer for the Die Cuttin Divas and this week's challenge is all about the turkey.    Create a project - card, layout, treat holder - whatever you want, but include a turkey on it and come play along.

But first let me share with you how I created my card.  My ever so cute turkey with his disguise is an SVG file that I purchased from Designs on Cloud 9.  The file is titled Turkey Time.  This was a super quick and easy to put together piecing and I couldn't be more thrilled with the way he turned out.

My stamped sentiment is from the Craftin Desert Divas stamp set Simply Holidays Wordart.

To finish off my card I used some skittles (yellow and pumpkin pureness) from DoubleClick Connections.

And now that you've seen my take on this week's challenge be sure to check out the wonderful designs that the Die Cuttin Divas put together to share with you.  Then create your own project, link up and play along.

And I am entering this cutie in the following challenges:

Turkey Time - My Sheri Crafts - Ends November 21st

Anything Goes - DL Art - Ends November 30th

Turkey Treat Holder

Wow, we're just a little over two weeks away from Thanksgiving and all the goodies it brings.  That is also the week of my birthday so be looking for something fun that will include blog candy/prizes.

For today's project though I wanted to make a treat holder.  And what better to use for a treat holder than one of the great files over at SVG Cutting Files.   This time I chose the Turkey with triple treat holder.  He was a lot of fun and very easy to put together.  I decide though that I wanted his eyes to be a little bit bigger and stand out more so I added a couple of charcoal gems for his eyes.

As I was going through my stamps I noticed that for all the Jaded Blossom stamps I own I don't have any Thanksgiving themed ones.  (Guess I'll have to get that rectified here pretty soon.)  I did; however, still used a Jaded Blossom stamp for my sign.  This one is from the Super Hero stamp set.

With that I am off to enter my treat holder in to the following challenges:

Let's Make a Treat - SVG Cutting Files - Ends November 14th

Thanksgiving or Thankful/Thank You Theme - Jaded Blossom - Ends November 22nd

Anything Goes - DL Art - Ends November 30th

Give Thanks - Little Scrap Pieces - Ends November 14th

Sparkle and/or Shine - Moving Along with the Times - Ends November 12th (eyes & the candy are my sparkle for this one)

Turkey Time - My Sheri Crafts - Ends November 21st

Thankful Thoughts

It's been a crazy busy weekend for my family this weekend.  We made an overnight trip to Mississippi so that our next to youngest son and I could compete in a Spartan Sprint together.  It was my second such event and for his birthday I bought our son a race entry so he could do it with me.  It was a 4.3 mile course with A LOT of water, mud and 18 various obstacles.  All in all we had a great time.

Then today my husband wanted to play golf so he and I did that this afternoon.  And in between all that craziness I had to get just a little bit of cardmaking done.  There are a couple of challenges ending soon and I wanted to play along.

For my card I used this adorable Fall Scarecrows from Too Cute by Jessica.  I then added in the following cuts from Cricut cartridges:

     Football from Life's a Party
Leaves from Simply Scarecrows & Pooh and Friends

After cutting out and putting all the pieces together I added a bit of twine for the scarecrow's hat band and threw a couple of skittles I found at Michael's in with the leaves that are up in the air.

My stamped sentiment is from the Craftin Desert Divas stamp set titled Hey Pumpkin.

I'm entering this card in to the following challenges:

Recipe Challenge - Die Cutting Divas - Ends November 10th (use 1  Ribbon/Twine, 2 Pattern Papers, 3 Pearls/Gems)

Anything Goes - Fantabulous Cricut Challenge - Ends November 9th

Football Challenge - Bitten by the Bug 2 - Ends November 9th

Anything Goes - DL Art - Ends November 30th

Until next time here are a couple of pictures from the race my son and I ran this weekend......

Not sure how far we trudged through this body of water
but it got chest high about half way through.

This is the wall we had to climb coming out of the water

That's my son in front of me

Our final 'obstacle' the fire pit.

Having some after race fun.

Counting My Blessings

Happy Friday and welcome to another Cardz TV  challenge.  This week we are giving thanks.  Create a Thank You card for Thanksgiving......

Remember that Thankful Wishes file I told you about earlier this week?  The one from Treasure Box Designs?  Well today's card features yet another cut from that great file.  This time it's one of the turkeys holding his wishbone.

Isn't he just the cutest thing?  I wanted to add lots of color to this little fella so I scavenged through my scraps stash and found some great left overs that I thought worked perfectly.

As for my thankfulness - well every time I count my blessings, regardless of what they are I am being thankful.  This stamped sentiment is from the Count Your Blessings stamp set from Cardz TV Stamps.

I count my blessings that Mary has allowed me to be a part of her crafting team for five years now.  Wow can you believe that?  That's a long time for her to put up with me.  LOL  And if you're curious you can view my first official DT challenge post here.  This was back in the day when we were called Cricut Cardz Challenge.

But now that I've shared my card and walk down memory lane, be sure to check out the other fabulous designs our team has created for you this week.  Then create your own card, link up and play along with us.

I can't wait to see what you create.  In the meantime, I am off to enter this card in to the following other challenges

Anything Goes - DL Art - Ends November 30th

Fall Colors - Hiding in My Craft Room - Ends November 8th

Marley & Me (use an animal) - Red Carpet Studios - Ends November 15th
