Elves Make Christmas Happen

Happy Wednesday everyone.  Today I have an adorable Christmas elf to share with you.  This little cutie is part of the North Pole Buddies files from Treasure Box Designs.

The background on my card is really just a cheat as it's a card blank that I had in my stash.  Sometimes when you need to whip up a card real quick those pre-printed blanks come in real handy.

The sentiment is from the Jaded Blossom stamp set titled Elf Workshop.  This stamp set and the Elf Report Card are two sets that you just cannot go wrong with when it comes to anything Elf and Christmas related.

For the finishing touch I opted to use a yellow skittle on the end of my elf's hat instead of the paper jingle bell.  Skittles is one of my favorite card embellishments, and you can find them at DoubleClick Connections.

And now I'm off to enter my card in the following challenges:

Christmas in July - Cut it Up Challenges - Ends July 26th

Any Holiday - Hiding in My Craft Room - Ends July 28th

Gingerbread Smiles

Happy Wednesday everyone.  Today I have a Christmas in July card to share with you.

I created this card using the Polaroid Card Gingerbread from Treasure Box Design.  Unfortunately though this file no longer appears to be available.  I searched all over her website but could not find it listed.  In good news though she has quite a few other gingerbread files and right now she's running a sale for 70% off all collections.

This was a rather easy card to piece together since I used a premade card blank that already had a great print to it.  It's the last one I had like this in my stash though and that made me just a little bit sad.  It was from the DCWV Christmas & Winter box of cards.

The blue snowflake print paper is from my stash as well but I can't remember what mat stack it came from.

This time I thought I'd do something a bit different for my stamped sentiment on the card cover.  Since this is a polaroid card I thought I'd use this cute polaroid stamp from the Craftin Desert Divas stamp set titled Capture the Good Times.  And guess what.  This stamp set is on sale too.  🙂

Ginger Christmas Tea

Christmas in July has begun but this week I'll be sharing more than just Christmas projects with you.  My granddaughter turns one in a couple of days and I have been asked to assist with making some things for the party.  So be on the look out for those.

But today I have a Christmas card to share with you.  I love making shaped cards when I can so when I saw this one over at Marjorie Ann Designs I just had to create it.  This is the Christmas Tea Ginger card and  you can find it here.

The stamped sentiment and the hearts along the edge of my card are from the Jaded Blossom stamp set titled Gingerbread Wishes.  This is a great stamp set that even includes a gingerbread die cut.

Thanks for Behaving

Now that the month of June is half over I figured it was time I started getting some Christmas cards made so that I'll have enough for giving out this season.  It never seems to fail that I have to buy one box of cards every year.  Well not this year!  And with Christmas in July around the corner it'll be even easier to get them done.  Of course craft show season is also around the corner so I'll have to find that happy balance. 😀

Today's card was made using the Just Elfing Around file from Marjorie Ann Designs.  Since I have issues with piecing some of the smaller pieces in this file I opted to do a couple of things differently.  I used printed paper for my shopping bag and instead of piecing the stripes on the leggings I opted to 'draw' them on using the tip on an ink pad.

My stamped sentiment is from the Jaded Blossom stamp set titled Elf Workshop.

You Melt My Heart

It's only June but the temps are screaming hot and muggy here in Florida.  So why not create a fun greeting to cool things down a bit?

I made this cutie of a card using the Ice Princess file from Marjorie Ann Designs.

The stamped sentiment is from the Cardz TV Stamps set titled Winter Cheer.

Now I'm off to enter my card into the following challenges:

Cardz TV - Mailbox Smiles Anything Goes - Ends June 15th

Jo's Scrap Shack - Anything Goes - Ends June 9th

Dreaming of a White Christmas

Since I'm still putting my craft room back together I thought I'd spend the rest of this week sharing some gems that I found while unpacking.  For example, today's Christmas card.

I originally made this card back in 2008 and loved it so much that I couldn't part with it.  I even inked the inside edges of the card and added a pooh snowman on the inside.  I made this card using the Pooh and Friends cartridge from Cricut.  Back then this was one of my favorite cartridges.

In 2010 I gave this card a bit of a facelift by inking the edges and adding some snowflake buttons before placing it in a picture frame for display.  I think this is the one item that I have made and held on to the longest.

To this day I love this little card, but now I think it's time to share and allow someone else to enjoy it this holiday season.

Java Jingle

Didn't I say no more Christmas cards?  I mean, I guess this one could be a "winter" card.  After all who doesn't love a good cup of coffee - especially when it's cold outside.  This particular card would be perfect card slip a gift card in for Starbucks, Dunkin Donuts or whatever local coffee shop is in your area.

The card is from the SVG Cuts file titled Christmas Cheer.  There are several shaped Christmas cards in this file and while I've made one or two, I can't wait to make some of the others.

To create this card I decided to run the coffee sleeve shape through my paper crimper to give a bit of texture and 'realism' to the card.  I also used a soft, silver glitter paper for the snowflake to help it stand out a bit more.  I also cut an extra peppermint swirl to use on the inside of the card along with the sentiment.

Speaking of sentiments, this one is from the stamp set Winter Wonderland by My Craft Spot.  I just hate that they are no longer doing business.  But we still have a lot of other great stamp companies out there so that's a plus.

And now I'm off to enter my card into the Cut it Up Holiday Shape Cards Challenge (which ends at noon today - talk about last minute 😉 )

I hope that you've enjoyed today's card as much as I enjoyed piecing it together.  But seriously this is the last Christmas card - until next July....

Snowman Portrait

Happy Friday everyone!  Today I have a Christmas card that I'd like to share with you.

This one features the Polaroid Pal Card Snowman from Treasure Box Designs.  Unfortunately it looks like this particular file has been retired as I could not find it when I tried to link back to it for you.  I purchased this file last year along with another one and now I'm thinking I'm glad that I did.....even though I haven't used it until now.

The stamped sentiment on the outside of my card is from the Winter Wonderland stamp set from My Craft Spot.  Sorry, they are no longer around either.  I also used another sentiment from this set on the inside of my card along with some of the snowflake stamps.

Sweetest Holiday

It's the middle of the week and that means we are closing in on another weekend.  Ours will be full of excitement as we are making a quick trip to see some family for an early Christmas celebration.  So there won't be much papercrafting done but I'll get some cross stitch in.

Today though I have a Christmas card I'd like to share with you.  I made this one using the Cookies N Milk Gingers file from Marjorie Ann Designs.  I love that all her files include clip art because if I'm short on time I can use the print and cut feature and still create a beautiful card.

My sentiment is from the Gingerbread Wishes stamp set from Jaded Blossom.  I also added a couple of ginger colored skittles from DoubleClick Connections.  And there you have what might be my last Christmas card for the year.  Who knows though, these are my favorite cards to make......

Holiday Hellos

It took some doing but I was able to squeeze in a little bit of crafting time over the weekend.  Today I'm sharing one of the two cards I was able to get done.

For this one I used the Happy Owlidays file.  There are five different owls in this set and as you can see I used the Santa Owl for my card.

The sentiment is from the recently released Merry Everything stamp set from Cardz TV Stamps.

Instead of using skittles or sequins on my card I opted for buttons.  Luckily I had a small stash of Christmas themed buttons and these snowflakes were perfect.

And now I'm off to enter my card into the following challenge:

Die Cuttin' Divas - Tic Tac Toe (Santa, embossed belt buckle, snowflake buttons) - Ends December 13th

Baby's First Christmas

Now I know it doesn't say that on my card.  Heck I didn't even use a sentiment at all on the outside of my card this time.  BUT - that is the name of the cute file that this baby with his/her ornament came from.  The file is another cutie from Marjorie Ann Designs and you can find it here.

I also used the recently released Holiday Designer Tapes stamp set from Jaded Blossom.  I stamped them using a couple of my Tim Holtz Distress Ink pads.  The green is peeled paint and the red is fired brick.

Oh, and did you participate in the 12 Days of Christmas Blog Hop that just ended this past Saturday?  If not there's still a little time left to hop along the participating blogs and have a chance at winning some blog candy.

I was a guest designer Saturday and I will be drawing a winner for my blog candy this evening.  If you haven't checked it out yet that post is just below this one.......

Have an awesome Monday everyone!!

Just For You Gift Tag

Happy Friday everyone, and welcome to another week of 3D Cardz TV crafting fun. Today we are creating 3D gift tags.

Now I have to admit, this one took a bit of thinking on my part. At first I couldn't wrap my brain around how I was going to create a gift tag that was 3D in nature.  Thank goodness for my Silhouette.  Being able to browse through the store I found several tags that fit the bill when I settled on this one.

The tag is called 3D chevron tree gift card tag and it is Design ID #52968.

For my sentiments I used two different stamp sets from Cardz TV Stamps:  Simply Said (outside) and Naughty or Nice (inside).

I also wanted to add a bit of color on the inside and chose to use a couple of sequins from the Gear It Up sequins by Crafting Desert Divas.  Even though these were designed for gears/robots I think they worked out pretty well on my gift tag.

And now that you have seen my tag creation for this week's challenge be sure to check out the other wonderful designs and play along with us.  I can't wait to see what you create.

Thanks for Behaving

I was able to get a little paper crafting done this morning before we head off on our vacation.  And after the week I've had I really needed just this little bit of crafty goodness time.

Today I used the print 'n cut feature to create my card.  I love having this capability for those days when time is at a minimum but I still want something cute.  Speaking of cute, I used one of the "things" from the Marjorie Ann Designs file Very Very Merry Christmas.  If you love Dr. Seuss this is a must have file.

My stamped sentiment is from the Jaded Blossom stamp set titled Elf Workshop.

Warning: Grinch Alert

Today I bring you a fun, bah humbuggie card.  This cute Grinch like character is part of the Very Very Merry Christmas file from Marjorie Ann Designs.

Since this Grinch is reading over Santa's naughty and nice list I thought this letters to Santa background paper would be perfect.  It's one of the papers from the Paper Studio's Winter Wonderland mat stack that I found at Hobby Lobby.  I also added some skittles in Grinch Green and black.

For the final touch I used a couple of the stamps from the Jaded Blossom stamp set titled Elf Report Card.

Sweet Treats Owl

Today I have a Christmas greeting to share with you using another one of the cute owls from the Happy Owlidays set by Marjorie Ann Designs.

I love how she combined the owl with a gingerbread look to create this little owl character.

This time I used a different set of card blanks from DCWV.  This one is from the A2 embossed card set in white.  They also have them in ivory and I love the clean, simple look of my cards when I use these.

I also added some skittles to help break up a bit of the white space while adding just the right amount of "bling".

Snow Owl

It's another wet and dreary day here in the Panhandle of FL, complete with flash flood and tornado watches/warnings.  With all the water everything has become a slick mess and just yesterday I took a small fall down the steps of our front porch and bruised up my lower back area pretty good.  Fortunately it's nothing time and an alignment won't cure.  So while I sit in the house listening to the rain and sipping my coffee I do what I do best in these situations - I craft.

I've got a couple of plastic canvas projects almost complete and ready to share.  I also did a bit of crocheting (working on minion hats for my son's friend), and of course I did some papercrafting.

Today I share with you one of the greeting cards I made.  This little cutie is from the Happy Owlidays set by Marjorie Ann Designs.  There are five different owls in this set and so far I've pieced together three of them.  They're quick and easy to piece together and everyone turn out of so stinkin' cute.

My card is one of those pre-printed card bases from DCWV, and the sentiment is from the Winter Wonderland stamp set by My Craft Spot.

Jolly Holidays

I have another quick and fun card to share with you today using the Christmas Sweeties file from Marjorie Ann Designs.  See, I told you I couldn't resist these cute little gingers.  And just think, Marjorie just released some new ones recently too.  LOL

For my ornament I used a scrap from my DCWV Holiday Glitzy Glitter mat stack.  I won this stack a while back during a blog candy giveaway.  I was very excited about that but I get even more excited every time I use a piece of it.  I've not seen this stack in any of my local stores so this was quite the big deal for me.

My sentiment is from the Cardz TV Stamps stamp set titled Very Merry.

Basket of Ornaments

Today I have a Christmas card I'd like to share with you.  I know.  I know.  It's not even Halloween yet.  But in my defense I've been creating for both holidays simultaneously.

Remember the altered charger plate I shared with you on Monday?  Well this is another cutie from the Christmas Sweeties file by Marjorie Ann Designs.  I decided to add a little bit of texture and bling to this card.

Along the top of the Santa dressed basket I used my Snow Writer 'paint'.  I first discovered this stuff at Michael's a couple years ago and I love how easy it is to use.  Some times I'll even add a touch of glitter or diamond dust while it's still wet.

Then as you can see, on the blue ornament I added a bit of bling in the form of a gemstone sticker.

Finally, instead of stamping a sentiment on the outside of my card I decided to go with a background paper that had it all.  Plus I thought it added to the cuteness of the ginger girl. The paper is from the Winter Wonderland mat stack by The Paper Studio.

Seasons Greetings

So I woke up this morning and my first thought was "it's only Wednesday?"  The past couple of weeks have been absolute whirlwinds as I prepare for three different Annual Membership and three different budget approval meetings.   You see by day I am a Community Association Manager and while I absolutely love my work, it is exhausting.  And that's one reason why I love my crafting, exercising and obstacle course racing so much.  It allows me to unwind and just chill out.

So today I thought I'd share a card I made for my favorite holiday - Christmas.  Christmas has always been magical for me.  I love celebrating the birth of Christ, being with family and friends, giving gifts, creating all the fun craft projects, and decorating.

For today's card I used one of the penguins from the Holiday Penguins file by Marjorie Ann Designs.  On the large ornament I used a snowflake rhinestone sticker I had in my stash.  I love the added bling it brings to the card.

For my sentiment I used a variety of stamps.  On the outside of my card I used Simply Christmas from Craftin Desert Divas.

On the inside of my card I used the stars from the Christ is Born stamp set from Jaded Blossom.  The sentiment itself is from the Merry & Bright stamp set from My Craft Spot.

And now I'm off to enter my card into the following challenges:

Hiding in My Craft Room - Super Scraps Saturday -  Ends October 17th

DL Art - October Linky Challenge - Ends October 31st

Nativity Scene Card

Happy Friday everyone.  Today I have another Christmas card that I would like to share with you.

I love the look and feel of this card and just fell in love with it when I saw the Joyful Christmas Cards set at SVG Cuts.  This is only one of four fabulous designs available in this set and I'll definitely be making the others.

For the main background I used some pre-embossed paper from some company I'd never heard of before - Craft Smith.  But I found the paper at Michaels on one of their "hot buys".  I got this pad for $5 and then when I went back for me the price was $20.  But I did buy it on sale for like 20% off.  Still not as hot a buy.  lol

To add even a bit more texture and oomph to my card I decided to emboss the Mary and Joseph figures with one of my Cuttlebug script folders.

On the inside of my card I used the Christ is Born stamp set from Jaded Blossom.
