Don't Quote Me

Happy Wednesday everyone.  Today I have a fun challenge for you to share with you.  Over at CardzTV we are having our 128th Crafty Cardz Challenge titled, yep, you guessed it, Don't Quote Me.  For this challenge you make card using your favorite quote.  How easy is that?

Since I don't really have one favorite quote I opted to use this wonderful paper full of quotes as the background for my card.  But what does the howling wolf have to do with any of them you ask?  Nothing specifically but since wolves howl as a way to communicate I thought it was fitting since today is all about communicating a variety of sayings.

And now that you've seen my card for this week's challenge be sure to check out the other projects our crafty ladies have for you this week.  Then after you've been amply inspired be sure to play along with us.

Started a New Blog

I'm not sure if any of you would be interested or not, but I had some friends encourage me to start a blog about my fitness journey, including becoming a personal trainer.  So I started one this weekend it's called A Journey Into Fitness - fitness antics of a mom to 6.

If you've been thinking about getting fit or making a change to your lifestyle I invite you to come on over, sit, read, share and follow.  That way we can keep each other inspired and motivated.  And while you're there if there's anything you'd like to "discuss" just let me know.

Hope to see you there!

Southwestern Celebration

I don't generally play around with too many of the "free cut" previews offered by Cricut Craft Room as they don't appeal to me.  However, this past weekend I was bored and decided to check this one out.  I made several cuts not knowing what I'd end up doing with them in the long run, but hey they were free so why not add them to my rainy day stash?

I love the little silhouette characters for this card because they look like they're dancing and playing their flute in celebration.  So right away I decided to make this birthday card for my oldest daughter using some of the cuts I had made.  It's a fast and simple card but hey who doesn't like having one or two or a few of those lying around when needed?

Happy Monday everyone and welcome to an Anything Goes challege at Pause Dream Enjoy.  That's right, for the next two weeks it's whatever and however you decide.

Since yesterday was St. Patrick's Day I just had to play with this adorable cut from the Seasonal Characters digital cartridge.  I also used one of the 'swirl' cutsf from Cricut Essentials to create my rainbow.  Then I cut one of the clouds from the sky paper I used for my background and pop dotted it to add another 'layer' to my card.  Oh, and my little leprachaun was placed on an action wobble to add in even more fun.

Erin Go Braugh - St. Patty's Challenge

Happy Wednesday everyone.  I know things have been quiet on my blog lately but that's only because they've been so chaotic behind the scenes.  We've had a lot going on in my little part of the world and that means not as much crafting time.  But I still haven't forgotten about it and can't wait to get back to a little routine.  In the meantime, I do have a design team challenge to share today......

Cricut Cardz Ch#127 "Erin Go Braugh" - where this week we're making cards for St. Patrick's Day using Green, Black, and White ONLY and using any cartridge(s).  I have to admit that I struggled with this one because I personally found it challenging to create a card while staying within the alloted color scheme.  But eventually I got it and this is what I came up with.

For my card I used:

A Child's Year for the shamrock

Create a Critter for the horseshoe (embossed for a little texture)

Cricut Craft Room Basics for the font (welded together)

On the inside of my card it says "To have you as a friend"

And now that you've seen my take on this week's challenge check out the other great designs our team put together for you this week.  I gotta tell you the ladies really rocked this challenge.  Don't believe me?  Check it out here and then when you're done being inspired, create your own card, link up and play along for your chance to win 1 set of Cardz TV Stamps

Come play with us!
