Special Delivery

This weekend I took a brief break from crafting to start getting all the things I've made lately in order.  You see Oktoberfest is a mere 26 days away and there's a lot to tag and bag.  On my blog here I mainly share my papercrafts with you but I also loom knit, sew and have even started learning how to crochet.  So as I started getting ready I realized that I basically have no Christmas cards.  Talk about a mild panic setting in.

After I got to a stop point with the tagging and bagging I quickly got to work creating Christmas cards.  One of the first ones I made is a favorite from last year using the Reindeer Card from the Mistletoe Manor file from SVG Cuts.  I love the ease of putting this card together and the end result is just gorgeous.

For the stamped sentiment on this card I used the Naughty or Nice stamp set from My Craft Spot.  (Sadly they are no longer in business.)

Flavors of Fall Treat Jars

Today I have a quick and easy project I'd like to share with you.  I was at Michael's the other day and while I was standing in line to check out I saw these little spice jars in the $1 and $2 bins.  They were actually $1.50 each and I thought what the heck.  Why not grab a couple and just play with them.

So using the new Flavors of Fall file from Marjorie Ann Designs I decided to break out my printable vinyl and create a couple of decals that I could stick on each of my jars.  After choosing the two I wanted I printed them out, stuck them on the jars and then filled them up with a little bit of coordinating left over Easter grass and some yummy chocolate kisses.

And there you have it.  A couple of quick and easy treat jars.

Just Saying....

I love being able to create cards that are not the standard rectangular folded card.  Today's card is one of those fun shaped ones.....

For my card today I used the Chunky Curved Base Card from SVG Cutting Files.  I also used the Squaredy Scarecrow from SVG Cutting Files.  To add a bit of flair to the card I decided to create somewhat of a swoop  to help add some color and give me a place to add a sentiment.

Speaking of sentiments, the one I used is from the Cardz TV Stamps set Just Saying.

To finish off my card and add a bit more fall color, I decided to add a couple of orange skittles from DoubleClick Connections.

And now I'm off to enter my card into the following challenges:

Thinking of You - SVG Cutting Files - Ends September 14th

DL Art - August Linky Challenge - Ends August 31st

Birthday Wish

I have a birthday card that I would like to share with you today.  This one features those infamous red slippers from the Wizard of Oz.

For my card I used the Wonderful Wizard Friends file from Too Cute by Jessica.  Since I was using the shoes for the focus of my card and the slippers were glitzy I wanted to try using different style papers to help my shoes look similar.  Unfortunately it shows up better in real life than it does in the picture.  But I used a combination of glitter, foil and plain papers for the various pieces of the shoes.

Then I wanted to kind of pull in that brick road feel so I embossed a piece of gold metallic paper and used it as an accent paper on my card.  Add a couple of red skittles from DoubleClick Connections, and a stamped sentiment from the Yellow Brick Road stamp set from Jaded Blossom and there you have it.  A birthday wish card.

Brighter Days

Today I have an encouragement card to share with you.  This one uses files from:

I wanted a different style card for this little cutie so that he really popped, and I think this center step card was perfect.  I also decided to do something a little different with his nose.  I wanted it to have that kind of wet, shiny look so I applied some black enamel accents and then after it dried I used the gel pen to add the white.  Of course this shows up much better in real life than it does in the photograph.

The stamped sentiment on my card is from the Encouragement stamp set from Jaded Blossom.

Encouragement Treat Cups

Today I have a quick project.  I have a couple of friends who've been going through some rough patches so I wanted to give them both a quick pick me up.  And what better to do it with than chocolate?

So I grabbed a couple of my mini coffee cups, covered them and stamped sentiments from the recently released Encouragement set by Jaded Blossom.  For the lid I used one of the circle shapes from George and Basic Shapes and attached a print 'n cut image from the Marjorie Ann Designs file Butterfly Kisses.

I then stamped sentiments from various candy stamps from Jaded Blossom:  Hello Candies, BFF Candies, Villain Candies, and the Wonderland Bundle.

And now I'm off to enter this into the following challenge:
