I decided to make yet another lantern. Although this will probably be my last one for a while since Hobby Lobby is out of this style and I can't think of another theme to play with. I had thought about a nativity one but I'm not sure that that would work out like I envision.
For this one though I chose to use Ariel from the Little Mermaid. After all mermaids seem to be a pretty popular theme for crafting - or then again maybe I'm a little late to the party.
I created this lantern in the same fashion as I did my other two....
I removed each of the panes, wiped them down on both sides with rubbing alcohol and allowed them to dry. I then cut my vinyl to fit my panes and adhered. After that I sprayed the side with vinyl with a frosted glass spray paint. Here's the one difference - for this lantern I decided that I only needed to spray the side of the glass with the vinyl rather than both sides of glass. I then installed the panes back into the lantern with the vinyl facing outward (no different than the glass blocks).
Add a flameless candle and it's complete.
Now I'm off to enter my lantern into the following challenge.
DL Art - August Linky Challenge - Ends August 31st
